EVS-EN 61000-4-6:2014

EN 61000-4-6 relates to the conducted immunity requirements of electrical and electronic equipment to electromagnetic disturbances coming from intended radio-frequency (RF) transmitters in the frequency range 150 kHz up to 80 MHz. The test method documented in EN 61000-4-6 describes a consistent method to assess the immunity of equipment or system against a defined phenomenon.

The main changes in the new edition are:
— use of the CDNs,
— calibration of the clamps,
— reorganization of Clause 7 on test setup and injection methods,
— Annex A which is now dedicated to EM and decoupling clamps,
— Annex G which now addresses the measurement uncertainty of the voltage test level,
— and informative Annexes H, I and J which are new.

EN 61000 is published in seven separate parts, this part sets out testing and measurement techniques.
The international standard has been approved in Europe as EN 61000-4-6:2014 without any modification and it supersedes EN 61000-4-6:2009.
