Tulenevalt muudatustest rahvusvahelises varahindamise standardis (IVS), Eesti seadusandluses, standardite töörühma seisukohtades ja ekspertiisi teostajate arvamustes on sellesse standardisse, mis on standardi EVS 875-13:2011 uustöötlus, sisse viidud järgmised olulisemad muudatused: 1) uuendatud ja standardi ülejäänud osadega on ühtlustatud terminoloogiat; 2) kehtivate õigusaktidega on kooskõlla viidud keskkonna ja planeeringute valdkonnaga seonduvad juhised; 3) lisatud on hoone sisekeskkonna, energiatõhususega seonduvaid juhiseid; 4) esitatud on seoseid tervishoiu, tööohutuse ja kestlikkusega.
