This International Standard was formulated to provide the minimum acceptable requirements for subsurface safety valve (SSSV) equipment. It covers subsurface valves, safety valve locks, safety valve landing nipples and all components that establish tolerances and/or clearances which may affect performance or interchangeability of the SSSV equipment.
