Although the standard’s status is withdrawn, it still has the presumption of conformity in the meaning of regulation 2014/68/EU and conformance with the regulation ’s requirements can be guaranteed by using the withdrawn version of the standard. The presumption of conformity is valid until a corresponding amendment is published in the Official Journal of the European Union.

This Part of this European Standard specifies requirements, for oil and gas firing systems of steam boilers and hot water generators as defined in EN 12952-1. These requirements also apply to firing systems of chemical recovery boilers (black liquor boilers) with the additions and amendments specified in Annex A of this standard.
