Standardis on tehtud järgmised tehnilised muudatused: — muudetud on täitematerjalide geomeetriliste omaduste nõudeid; — täpsustatud on asfaltsegudes kasutatavaid Eesti kliimatingimustesse sobivaid teebituumeni ja polümeermodifitseeritud bituumeni marke; — korrigeeritud on asfaltsegude sõelkõveraväljade kirjeldamiseks kasutatavate sõelte arvu ning viidud need kooskõlla asjakohastes tootestandardites tooduga; — täpsustatud on asfaltsegu koostise lubatud hälbeid ja lisatud täiendavad selgitused nende tõlgendamise kohta; — loobutud on Euroopa standardites toodud tüübikatsetuse ja tehase tootmisohjega seonduva dubleerimisest ning nende osakaal on selles standardis minimeeritud; — täpsustatud on asfaltsegude poorsusomaduste, veepüsivuse ja kulumiskindluse määramiseks valmistatavate proovikehade tihendamisenergiaid ja -viise; — loobutud on varem kasutusel olnud AC 4 surf segust; — asfaltbetoonsegude hulka on lisandunud AC 8 bin segu, mis on ette nähtud kasutamiseks tasanduskihtide rajamisel ja hüdroisolatsiooni kaitsekihina, näiteks sildadel ja viaduktidel; — täpsustatud on mustsegude nõudeid, katsestandardeid ja tootmisohjet; — standardi lisasse A on lisatud asfaltsegu retsepti vorm; — standardi lisasse B on lisatud asfaltsegude minimaalsed ja maksimaalsed tehnoloogilised kihipaksused, hõlbustamaks projekteerijatel segu markide ja kihipaksuste valikuid; — kustutatud on teatmelisa asfaltsegude ja sideaine lisanditest; — deformatsioonikindluse nõuete kasutuselevõtu tõttu on kustutatud lisa, mis kirjeldas soovitusi AC segude Marshalli näitajate väärtustele; — välja on jäetud lisa, mis käsitles segu sideaine penetratsiooni arvutust, kui kasutatakse ringlussevõetud asfalti, ja see on asendatud viitega tootestandardite asjakohasele lisale; — kustutatud on lisad, mis sisaldasid asfaltsegude CE-märgise näidiseid; — kustutatud on lisad, mis kirjeldasid mustsegude katsemeetodeid.

This standard describes the selection and properties of asphalt concrete (EVS‑EN 13108‑1:2007), stone mastic asphalt (EVS‑EN 13108‑5:2007), mastic asphalt (EVS‑EN 13108‑6:2007) and porous asphalt (EVS‑EN 13108‑7:2006) mixtures and cold mixtures produced in asphalt plant or in a special mixer, generally considered to be suitable for roads and other trafficked areas in Estonia. This standard is meant to be used in conjunction with EVS-EN 13108-8:2016, EVS-EN 13108-20:2007 and EVS EN 13108-21:2007. If no clarifications or options are given in this standard, all requirements in the aforementioned EVS-EN 13108 series standards apply as described in the standard, including the requirements not copied into this standard. This standard specifies the minimum set of properties that shall be declared for asphalt mixtures, produced in accordance with EVS‑EN 13108 series parts -1, -5, -6 and -7.
This standard does not specify suitable properties for using in Estonia for the following EVS‑EN 13108 series product standards:
—  EVS‑EN 13108‑2. Bituminous mixtures. Material specifications. Part 2: Asphalt Concrete for very thin layers (BBTM);
—  EVS‑EN 13108‑3. Bituminous mixtures. Material specifications. Part 3: Soft Asphalt;
—  EVS‑EN 13108‑4. Bituminous mixtures. Material specifications. Part 4: Hot Rolled Asphalt
The constituent materials and the asphalt mixtures produced with these materials shall meet, as a minimum, the quality requirements stated in this standard. Specific properties and categories may deviate from this standard, if required by the conditions of procurement and conditions of use, but shall not fall short of the minimum quality requirements. The deviations shall be specified in the technical regulations, guidelines and in procurement and contract conditions (hereinafter Technical Specifications).
