This standard specifies the special requirements for cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) or polyvinyl chloride (PVC) insulated and polyvinyl chloride sheathed cables with copper conductors for fixed wiring that are intended to be used in Estonian relatively cold climatic environment.
All the cables described in this standard shall by applicability be in accordance with the general requirements given in EVS-EN 50525-1 and the special requirements of this standard.
The constructional requirements and testing methods of insulation and sheath for the cables described in this standard are set in accordance with local climatic environment.
These products are also called “sheathed wires”.
