Ongoing standards’ projects

There are several ways to participate in standards-making. E.g.:

• making proposals for drafting required standards (Standard drafting and translation);
• participating in establishing the draft document’s structure and/or writing the draft text (participating in the work of a committee);
• participating in the public enquiry once the draft document is ready (evaluating its compatibility and submitting comments, improvement or amendment proposals regarding the text).

The more important stages for standards being drafted are

• new work item proposals,
• public enquiry,
• commenting on translations,
• periodic review of home-grown EVS documents.

All currently ongoing projects and information related to their drafting are published in the standards programme.
