Our products and services: feedback from clients

We have for years contributed to the development of services that provide new ways for our users to get information about standards. To ensure that we continue evolving and tailoring our services to meet your needs, we conduct a customer service survey once a year.

This year the survey took place over October and November, allowing us to capture a comprehensive snapshot of your feedback. We appreciate the time you have taken to share your thoughts with us.

Now, let us share some key comments and suggestions we received during the survey.

Due to purchasing authorization, only my supervisor can purchase a standard, but I cannot download it. Then he must print it for me to view it due to restrictions on the protected PDF.

If the standard is purchased with a single-user license, it can only be opened on one device.

Your supervisor can download the standard to their computer and then forward the file, for example, by e-mail to you. In this way, there is no need to open or print out the standard.

More learning resources on how to identify the correct standard for an application, or links to learning resources to help with this would be great.

The easiest way to check whether the correct standard was selected is to use the preview function in the e-shop. The table of contents and scope of the standard can be read through the preview. The latter is important because it explains the main topic of the standard to the reader.

This blog post helps explain the general structure of standards and how to use make sure you have the correct one.

Our internal protocols force us to work placing orders and then waiting for invoices to be paid before the download is released, which delays the process.

For that, we offer organisations the opportunity to purchase vouchers. We will create an organisation account for you. Members of the organisation can purchase vouchers and later use them for purchasing and browsing standards.

That way your work will not be delayed, and you can download the standards right after the transaction.

Some kind of monthly paid plan where we can borrow a certain number of documents at a time.

We offer a collection service for clients who require a large number of standards. You can purchase the collection of standards and order all the updates for the standards inside the collection with a fixed annual extra fee.

The minimum number of documents in a collection is 100.

All European standards (EN ISO, EN IEC) can be added to the collection. It is also possible to add standards to your collection later and the invoice for the added standards will be sent at the end of the current quarter.

When an old computer is replaced with a new computer you need to purchase an additional license is an issue. If there is some way to avoid having to buy the additional license that would be beneficial.

If your computer has been replaced, please contact EVS customer service.

Our customer service can update the standards so that you are once again able to open the purchased standards and do not have to purchase additional licenses. The new device must have the required software interface FileOpen installed.

If you need more to update your standards or have any questions, feel free to contact our customer service via e-mail at standard@evs.ee or by phone at +372 605 5060.
